Why did you get into photography/videography?
Out of an admiration for the world and the experiences within, we've always sought to preserve and (sometimes) share the moments that we never want to forget. Photography/videography allows us to capture those in a unique way that can freeze an instant in time for posterity. For us, it started as young kids playing with a point-and-shoot camera filming our friends without a care in the world. As we started to travel more frequently, we continued to use cameras, but instead to capture the places and memories each trip gave us. Over time, we accumulated more equipment and the number photo requests from friends and other organizations increased, until we decided to create Lear Creative, LLC!
What gear do you use?
The gear we use plays an important role in our ability to effectively capture the right shots, especially under a variety of constraints - it needs to work consistently so we never miss a moment. For us, our Sony A7RIII and Sony a7III primary cameras enable us to always be ready and nail each frame. These full-frame sensor cameras enable us to shoot in a variety of environments and conditions, especially where an average camera falters. Each camera boasts dual memory card slots so that each photo/video we take is backed up in the extremely unlikely case of equipment failure. We also use a variety of professional Sony lenses (16-35mm f/2.8 GM, 24-70mm f/2.8 GM, 70-200mm f/2.8 GM, 55mm f/1.8 GM), aerial cameras/drones (DJI Mavic 2 Pro, DJI Mavic Air), and other sound, lighting, stabilization, and storage equipment. What does the booking process entail?
Once you've decided you or your organization would like to work with us, we'll schedule a phone call to go over your specific needs and any additional requests or questions you might have. We'll provide a contract based on the type of work needed - which covers everything including scheduling, image releases, copyrights, etc. Once this contract is signed with the retainer payment (the minimum quoted amount for hourly photography/videography or 50% of the total package price for weddings), we'll officially lock your date in on our calendar. Unfortunately, we are first-come, first-served and cannot hold dates until the signed contract and retainer has been received.
How is the finished product delivered?
All of our product delivery is done digitally, and without any watermarking. The finished product(s) will be uploaded to a file sharing service for period of time where you can download it all. Do you provide all RAW or unedited content?
No, we do not provide the RAW or unedited files we capture during the shoot. The photos and videos we deliver have been carefully selected and edited to reflect the high standards our clients expect of Lear Creative. Do you sell prints?
Currently, we do not sell prints - but keep your eye out for this in the future!
